Currently, as we have widely reported, only 39% Favor Health Care Reform, 58% Opposed
- February 12, 2010, these levels have been consistent since November. Only
19% think the republicans and the democrats can bring a bill together, so the President’s
recent move is in direct contrast to the will of the people. Sixty-one percent (61%)
of U.S. voters say Congress should drop health care reform and focus on more immediate
ways to improve the economy and create jobs.
What does our President do, he schedules a summit and invites the Republicans, the
conservatives, the last chance we have for sanity, to participate in a healthcare
reform forum. This time he will televise the event, so everyone can see the
republicans resisting our good President as he attempts to revamp our healthcare
system.
Republicans are faced with a bill coming from the President that will only require
a 51% approval in the Senate to pass and become law. This means our 41st
Senator will have to wait until another day to stand up for his constituents. It
also means that the President does not need Republican support to pass his agenda. The
bill will provide a tax for all, 250k promise or not. The bill will steal from
Medicare to give to Medicaid. The bill will mandate what insurance companies can
charge and what they can cover. The bill will be based on the Senate bill and
will incorporate the options from the House. The bill is exactly what the American
public is opposed to.
So why play this game. We need to get our Republican Senators and Congressmen
know they don’t have to attend; we don’t want to see them participate
in this charade. However if they go they need to oppose this bill. We
need to let them know this is not a Republican vs. Democrat issue. This is
the American people against President Obama’s healthcare reform. Republicans
need to stand up for America and voice opposition.
As shown here, the American people are very supportive of not doing a healthcare
bill this way, help us resist this system by being “Americas party”
and if that means being the part of the party of “No” then buck up and
be the party of “NO”, “Nada”, “Nunca”, etc.
Let them know we want to do something real about health care reform, focus on “Tort
Reform” and runaway law suits and mal-practice insurance costs. We want
to have intra-state competition, and we want the right to not buy health insurance
in the last free nation on earth.
We are not the minority, we are the majority and we need to get busy. Let your
Congressman and Senator know what to do and what you are willing to support and
what needs to loudly shouted down.
